Ive sat around gawping at nice modded cases for long enuff, so im going to mod my Juno Full Tower. My Plan is to stick in a couple of stealth blowholes and a window and then a neon light and probably change the power and hdd leds to blue and red or somthing. My Questions are.... 1) Where can i find a good window making tutorial? 2) Cutting into the side of a juno, is it hard do i need extra tools? 3) If i screw it up totaly does anyone have the number/address of juno so i can get a replacement side . Any Help would be great
Not an expert on this front but... to cut into the juno I think it's best to separate the plastic and metal before cutting and cut them spearately (the panel comes apart by taking lots of little plastic clips out). Doing this will stop the plastic melting when you cut the metal (which gets very hot!). Cheers, r.
I think you can just cut this normally with your dremel (slow speed?) - the main thing is to separate it so the heat of cutting the metal doesn't ruin the plastic. On the subject of sourcing spare parts for the juno... I know one overclocking retailer that sells juno's will supply you with spares if you give them a ring, they do charge quite a bit for them though! Cheers, r.
I heard good things about dremel clones.... but... argos sell dremel's (and clone's) as do most hardware shops etc. (you know b&q and the lark). r.
oh yeah these neon light things, can they be powered by molex 4 pin plugs?, also can i buy ones with switches on them or would i have to hack it together myself?
Yes and yes... the voltage is right (12v) so if you're buying the invertor and wiring it yourself then you have to simply connect it up to a molex via a switch of your choice. I'm pretty sure (though haven't checked) that the neons coolcasemods supply come with a molex to plug in and a switch - no wiring to worry about r.
Hmm Considering you've never used a dremel before, take a practice sheet of metal if you have one, and practice on it. Also, since its your first time and you have the difficult mods planned, make sure to thoughorly read guides on what to do. Just a thought
