Looking at those specs its obvious that Modern Whorefare 2 is not pushing the limits in terms of game improvement.
As if I didn't know already, this proves to me that the game is quite simply a console port, with graphics as technologically advanced as a 5 year old console can handle.

My mood is changing from annoyed to plain disappointed. The last remaining glimmer of hope that dedicated servers may get patched in has been removed, replaced instead by the overwhelming thought that this game will be no more advanced than Call of duty: modern warfare, which has dedicated servers and sat at the top of the games charts for over a year.
Guess what i will be playing tonight?

Heres a thought for all you who are thinking about hanging back until the price drops before you buy this one, CoD4 is still sitting on the shelves at a fairly high price. I think I recently spotted it at my local HMV for £34.99 and thats after two years, online will be less obviously but still high.

Is this going to be like the original MW where it looks 'good' on most PCs, but won't scale properly or look 'AMAZING!!!11!' on top end PC's?

And the cost of all of those games combined will be less than the purchase price of CoD:MW2 ;-)

Maybe. I think it's just the graphical style - it doesn't always look much different tbh.

I think the fabulous, efficient, and improved experience that is IWNet takes up 10GB....

Depends where you look, when you look. :) HMV seem to always keep their prices high, unless they're in the middle of a loss-leader sale or something is monumentally unpopular. I saw CoD4 in PC World for £12 in August; it's gone back up again to £30 or something like that. Amazon had CoD4 for £15 a few weeks back, but price has risen since then, again. Current Amazon prices are £31.34 for CoD4, or £20.99 for CoD4 GotY Edition (both PC).

I've got nothing againg IWNet Matchmaking. Actually I think its a positive thing in addition to dedicated server and mod support.
They should have followed the Americas Army system. You need to be connected to their network to play, save statistics and so on, but you can buy your own dedicated server in selected partners. You can run an official server that needs to follow all the game rules or have a custom server with custom maps but it won't appear in the official list. As time passes and for instance a user map passes aproval it could be included in the official server list.
Even from a business point of view I can't understand IW motifs. They could win some serious bucks by following a mixed system. I think IW only cared about one thing really. One. Being the sole provider gives them the power to pull the plug whenever they want. Two. They will be the only sorce of content. Bad choice in my opinion. They could win both ways.

The PC delay is for putting in a dedicated server system and support for the mod community.

    ;)

    Hahahahaha, good one.

If that were true, I would buy this game, even at the 90USD off steam. I have a great amount of respect for devs who are prepared to listen to the communnity, that will never be IW though.

Back to ARMA2 I knew it was a sin to even think about something other than my military sim.

Agreed those minimum requirements are more or less the same as COD:WaW bar hard drive useage. Hell there isn't even that much difference between mw and mw2 as far as minimum requirements go...

So... The price is never gonna drop!... Then I'm never gonna buy it, not paying what I paid for Borderlands AND Left4Dead 2 together just for one game... Not for ONE dumbed down game
