Well after finishing my case I decided to put the parts in, all fit well although I have a problem.

I'm using a 55w morex psu. It only has one female molex connector.

I have plugged my 80mm fan into this, which leaves me with another female connector (still only one). From that female conector it plugs into my harddrive. But I need to place my lcd into this chain. It takes female.

How can I sort this problem out?

I assume I would need to wire another male female set?

    Help me out guys?

Just get a splicer. They cost like two bucks, man. Or you can just use an old molex from a PSU and add it to the chain.

First you cut a molex with a lenght of wires from the old PSU. Then you remove the plastic on your free molex, and solder the wires red, black x 2, yellow to the pins. Then you put the pins back in the plastic.

    ok bump this up firstly

I finally got round to finishing off this project but when I went to carry out what bard said, I cannot figure out how to get the wires out of the molex.

How do I de wire a molex so I can daisychain it to another?

    Please help me.

I think since you dont really understand what advice your getting, maybe it would be easier to just buy one? They are only a few quid at the end of the day.

I understand what I have to do, get the pins out of the molex. Apparently by using a pin, but I cannot actually see these little pins. (I need glasses probably :( )

Where can I purchase one of these splicers from then?

You can get molex connectors that splice straight into existing wires, without having to cut any wires or take off any plugs. Find them :here:.

But otherwise, as the man says: just buy a splitter: a piece of cable with a male molex one end and two female molexes on the other.

Did anyone notice that he is using a 55wat PSU?? I hope its a secondary!!!! IF not, you really shouldn't be adding extra fans/vfds because your way under powered as it is!!

Nope its my primary power supply

    Its powering:

    epia 800 mobo
    3.5" hdd
    laptop dvd
    lcd display

It will power everything as standard, but I haven't enough molex to power the lcd, but that should be sorted out soon. When I get out the soldering Iron.
