im doing this out of pure curiosity, would would you do? My main question, i suppose it should have been my first question really, however, what case, remember money no option, would you use to mod. I was thinking along the lines of a Lian Li 2000 series etc. any ideas welcome...
I would gold plate everything on the outside of case and anodised black interior with gold plate highlights. Its always been my dream colour scheme.
Get a scratch built computer made from carbon fibre... Section for mITX rig (W/Zotac 9300 Wifi and a 7-12" monitor built into the side) Section for gaming rig/photoshop rig (i7 920, 12Gb, X25 or OCZ SSDs) Section for download rig/server (Zotac Atom 330 and PCI Wireless N card or "gaming" network card, possibly a blu-ray player) Section for folding rig (9600GTs and a Q6600, probably) Section below each for watercooling (rad, pump, res) Have every section (apart from the WC part on each) seperable with interconnecting sliding rails and a quick release lock in mechanism of some sort for portability Alternatively, two oldish server tower cases (they'll fit W/C and a 2nd rig or W/C and a gaming rig) Matte black, with an OLED over one of the side panels to act as the monitor, metallic red tonka style wheels (but larger) on bogeys to transport it and the underside to have red neons on it that only come on with the wheels moving Can you tell I've thought about this already?
Don't you mean GTX295's or at least 9600GSO's or something? 9600's low shaders make it meh for folding.... Anyways, mine would be a laser everything cut case. And CNC milling. Everything done by machine. Just because I can. Now, as far as what I would say carbon fibre for sure. With some green and white accents...
Money no object I'd equip a top notch workshop, including a 5 axis CNC milling machine, bench press drill, flatbed saw etc, etc, etc .... and scratch build. Case closed Crazy B
Something along these lines. I've always thought about doing multiple PCs for different purposes in one large-ish box.
I've got one of these in the pipeline. Watch out for the Project Log starting in a few weeks hopefully
Oh, this thread again. -5 axis cnc and 3" thick sheet of blue/clear swirl plexiglas... Then I'd move on to Atomic Tarantula. @burnout - It needs a monitor that covers the entire side. Get to that.
Case mod or any kinda mod? I'd buy a 5 axis CNC mill, a 3 axis plasma cutter, a 3 axis laser cutter, 3 axis CNC mill (just in case the 5 axis breaks down), a CNC lathe, 220 volt MIG and a 220 volt TIG, a car sized paint booth, a kiln, a couple of table saws, a few routers, a plane, a jointer, a few different sanders, a huge compressor, a tube bender, a parts cleaning station (sand blaster), drill press, drills, sawsall, a paint mixer, a car lift, assorted hand tools (planes, screw drivers, clamps, ......).... too many tools to name
I'd build a tower, about 100 stories tall. Each floor would be massively open plan, and filled with my well paid & loyal employees, and each desk would be equipped with an abacus. The total computing power of the complex might be less than your average calculator found in a mobile phone, but every company has it's problems. There would only be one condition of employement - must be female, hot & wearing appropriate attire, such as lingerie or bikini - mini skirts, high heels and a tight jacket are acceptable for winter.
I'm having a bit of trouble teaching all the girls, there's just too many for me. I never asked any of them if they even knew what an abacus was in the interview So there will be a posistion available to teach some of the girls how to use the abacus soon. Interested? What pay you ask? Remember, money no option, which either means you will be paid no option about it, or there is no option of being paid, i'm not sure about this yet.
I'm teaching hot women to use an abacus, I don't think pay is necessary seeing as i'll get paid in other forms of payment.
