Just got back from a lan last night, cracked my computer together and all was fine.

Woke up this morning and turned my monitor on, and I could only see my Start Menu etc - the bottom inch of the screen or so, and it was at the very TOP of the screen...

Unplugged the data cable for the monitor and plugged it back in - now I had 5 or 6 thin blue lines running vertically down the left hand side of the screen.

Restart my machine - same. Unplug the monitor for 10 minutes - same.

It's a month old Relisys TL970D or TL970WM - nobody can decide what it ACTUALLY is, connected via DVI to a 9700 Pro.

no chance of trying a new gfx card or monitor from a mate? that would make it easier.

Checked it with my CRT just now before I rang up tech support.... now get this...

I was just talking to a guy on the support line with my system on, and my screensaver kicked in. Moved the mouse and the monitor magically fixed itself.

The guy nearly died screaming "bloody hell, thats strange!" before he said I can either swap it or keep it and see if it happens again.

So, I'm going to keep it and see if it does happen again. If it does they will courier a replacement to us within 2 days, and take the old one back with them!

Sounds like a loose connection somewhere, although it could always be corrupted drivers.. could be anything tbh :p

Happend again last night- and it's not come back yet.

So far, my LCD hasn't worked on: My computer, My Fileserver or My dads laptop.

My dad has exactly the same LCD at work so he brought it home. It works on my PC.

My CRT works on my PC. Odd one out? My LCD.

I rang up Relisys again, and I'm having a new one brought out on monday- I'll see if I can get them to contact me if they ever find out what was wrong with it.
