    I wasn't sure where to put this so here goes,

    Im thinking of getting a XBox 360 and with the HD technology inside them they can create some good graphics.

    Question, Can my TFT Benq 19" Monitor that I use for my PC can it be used as a HD screen for the XBox?? -- as isn't HD about the screen resolution of1280x1024 which what my monitor does.

    Thanks

    There are different types of HD
    720p = 1280x720
    1080i = 1920x1080 interlaced
    1080p = 1920x1080

    ok so my monitor only goes up to 1280x1024,so i can only get HD
    720p=1280x720

    Is this alot better then normal?
    and is there a lot difference between the three HD types?

    just as with a pc, if you increase the resolution then you get a sharper picture.
    A regular tv/dvd player uses around 480 lines i think (correct me if im wrong)

    Carefull though as when you go with 1280x720, your monitor might upscale it to 1280x1024, distorting the image and stretching one pixel across two pixels and so making the image lower in quality. Try changing your PCs resolution to something lower like 1280x960 and see if it stretches the image.

    I'm pretty sure the VGA cable allows you to output at native 1280x1024.
