Saw this for the first time today Class http://news.sky.com/skynews/video/videoplayer/0,,30000-1283918,.html
I've seen that a couple of times in advert breaks during the X Factor (my gf made me watch it, honest). I was thoroughly baffled by it when I first saw it (ever time I see it for that matter).
ahh yeah, ive seen this on Channel 4 loads its quite long, and pointless to be honest, but its fun either way haha.
It's a really well done advert in my opinion, and the suprising thing is just how well 'acted' it is. The mannerisms are just like those of Collins, the rolling of the shoulders, everything. Great song for driving though, that and 'I Drove All Night' by Orbison or Cyndi Lauper are some of the best I've had when on a dark, cold and wet winter night, driving about 100 odd miles... Anyhoo, tis a good advert
Giving the punchline away a bit there mate! The first time you see it is the best, especially if you don't know whats coming.
Best advert in ages, makes no sense, well made, confusing and funny! All to sell chocolate! Brilliant
Can't quite see the link with the product that is being advertised, but I thought it was really... uplifting, somehow.
Well I don't see how dolphins driving a car underwater is in any way related to the car apart from the fact the car appears on the screen But that's car adverts for you, they very rarely make any sense, they're even worse than perfume adverts dare I say it. I suppose all they want is the car on the screen with 0% finance, then they have to find a way to fill the other 25 seconds. The result; dolphins...driving cars...underwater... Sorry that was a rather off topic rant about car adverts, but we can hardly expect adverts to be related to the product can we? Oh no, that's far too easy. It was a surprisingly lengthy too as far as adverts go, must have cost them a bit to air.
The link between product and advert is also the reason its so long, It's a minute and a half advert by the glass and a half full production for a chocolate bar that uses a glass and a half of milk, that or its the purple background. obvious really
