Windows Monopoly MMO

Google launched a new Monopoly MMO based on Google Maps today. Players will be able to buy almost any street *Clarkson pause* in the world. Unfortunately the servers are already down due to the demand. BBC article here.

Anyone else looking to give this a go, even if it is just to buy your own street? Or should monopoly be confined to memories of family Christmases in a distant past?

 

I was going to post a thread on this but forgot. Yeah I'd love to have a go.

Didn't think it released till tomorrow though.

 

Sources say September 9th. Tried going there, but servers are down. The wikipedia page (I know, I know...) has some semblance of an explanation. Also, a link to the game's site (if working when you click) here.

 

It is slowly picking itself up as they add more servers, should be fine by tomorrow.

 

they just added another because I just got the apache server test page.

 

I'll have a go at this. I'm a sucker for Monopoly.

 

I have tried this yesterday, and just got errors. upon trying to hit it up today, i see out IT admins beat BT to the punch and blocked it... funny, that.

 

Damn, most places near me have already been purchased, Atleast i managed to nab a few streets...Now onto world domination!
