Gene at Monsoon just sent me a funky image of all the coloured barbs - I uploaded this and people seem to be able to see but not the other photos. I've re-uploaded the originals to this and the shakmods cable braid article. Let me know if this has made a difference!

The images are being blocked by AdBlock Plus (and similar ad blockers) because they're 300x250 with 300x250 in the filename - a common ad format. Turn off AdBlock Plus and the images will magically appear.

Or just disable it on that single page from the options menu.

Just thought I'd say, this isn't something we've done purposefully to force ad-block removal. We've used similar images sizes and naming standards for ages. Just seems that the ad-blockers have changed their recognition system.

Just thought I'd add to what Baz said - I simply used a different ratio in our CMS with an image size we haven't used before to best-fit some of the images. Ad-blockers probably haven't changed, it is in fact my fault!

Disabling ABP in Firefox on that one page and refreshing the page loaded the images - thanks guys :thumb:

You can add an exception filter in adblock for images.bit-tech.net and it'll ignore the the fact that the sizes are stated in the image title.

Which is exactly what I've done now :thumb: I have also added exceptions for the non intrusive ads on bit-tech.

I'll admit that I've not bought high-end compression fittings - yet - but they've always had the hex keying on the base for a spanner... and I've never needed to tighten beyond 'finger tight' the actual compression head itself. Admittedly I'm pretty good at getting 'finger tight' for me too tight for any friends/colleagues to undo without a mole-grip, however. Not had a leak either.

These do look pretty nice, though.

I don't understand why they come in 6's. Most people will use 8 or 10 fttings, so 6 is an annoying number...

I wondered at that too. I think 8 would have been a better number per pack (single block loop being pump, res, rad and block) but from a marketing point of view it's a winner because if someone needs 8 fittings, they might or probably will buy two sets of 6.

I used two packs of these for one of customers. No leaks, easy to put on, but that wrench kills my hands. I was tempted to dip the handle in liquid rubber, but never got to the h/w store. Worked great even on a rad with recessed thread holes. A great buy for tight clearances.

Good point. If you have a combined pump/res such as one of the fancy after-market tops for the DDC pump then you would only need six assuming a CPU only loop. They're also readily available separately so buying a few more isn't an issue - I guess everyone needs six, but not everyone needs eight or 10 :D Adding another two would push the price above £30 and most likely above $50 too which could have been anther reason but I agree that eight would make more sense.
