    thanks icecube.....

    the first pic is the whole card....the faceplate is blank, and can be unscrewed allowing for something else to go there. The white bits on the top are the things in pic 2....they are ide slots....note: the card supports hard drives but does not support RAID

    depending on their speed they go from anythin like 30quid new to about 180...

    put it in sales and see what u can get...

    ummm how long you gonna extend the IDE cable? I believe that anything over a meter and you screwed. Past one meter and the siganl is crap(deffinately NOT good for HDD and who whats bad signal while installing from CD or playing music)

    same principle as DSL and telephone lines. needs a signal repeater to boost the signal. otherwise the signal is weak and garbled.
