More mods?

Hey...

You guys may think this may sound pathetic.. but do you guys not think we should have more moderators on later at night?
Earlier on (wont name names) we has a slight heated moment in the for sale forum. When i thought that the forum was about to turn into a girls slagging match (stick-on nails included) or a boxing ring ..... i went in search for a moderator to try and calm the situation or to close the thread (thats what i thought moderators did or do) and i couldnt find anyone.
It might sound aragant and rude, but im sure i for one seem to see more things happening on these forums than some of the mods. I know that there are plenty more people than me that use these in the early hours too!
I just think that it would be handy to have a couple of people on here.. that can only shut threads or edit threads. And that would be all they needed to do, just to keep a concious monitor over the whole situation. Im not saying that im up for the job, because ive only been here for a little while considering how long a lot of others have been here. But could you not offer them the chance to become mods. Or even to have like post duty?
several people to just monitor the forum. Or to get people that use the forums in the early hours to just check over and have a lil looksie. Its not the first time ive seen this happen and im sure its not going to be the last either. I just wished that someone had the power, that happens to be online!

All i can say is new moderators have been discussed recently and there may be some changes soon.

The one evening i go out, all hell breaks loose! And im my thread

Tbh, sometimes **** happens. Things get sorted eventually and we move on Just report the post and someone will clean it up.

At least its all sorted and resolved now!

 

I guess it's also worth saying that it is friday, and most people, mods or not, are going to be out doing whatever rather than browsing the forums. I happened to be busy doing other things and missed the reported thread notices :/

 

Yeh i can deffo understand that. Before everyone starts thinking im a grouch i was just pissed off last night (totally bit tech un-related) so i think i was a bit harsh to some people. PM's Have been sent though.

@ RTT: Yeh i can understand that too, i can also know for a fact that you guys are extreamly busy... doing site makeovers and whatnot. Soz i gave all the mods a bit of a hard time.

@ Bigz: Cheers for closing the thread! And being so understanding considering the circumstances. Sorry for ripping your head off too!!

@ Bindibadgi: At the end of the day these things happen, we all know how crazy people go when theres free stuff up for grabs, and this is just another example of it. Its just unfortunate it was in your thread... on the only day u go out lol. like you said.... sh*t happens and life moves on...

anyhoo, I guess another way to get mods at evening hours is to use people in other time-zones.
