And the ipod has upgradeable firmware also. Apple gives you some software to update it, should the need arise.

you need more RAM. babe thread was a struggle on 128 meg, its flys on 512

 

I've been wanting an iPod for a while now. I went to an Apple store in Denver, CO. It really looked like something from apple though, it was all clean lines and white. I liked it though. Back on the iPod though, I guess I'll have to wait until I'm 16 (6 months left ) so i can get a "real" job.

My Mac has firewire, and there's some candy under that net in our utility room

Seriously, I've been saving up for one ever since they've come out... having a Mac and all really made it a good idea for me....

Then I realize being [ at the time ] around 14 didn't help for squat.

Gotta run to the DMV and get that license to grab me a job.

I've been torn between one of them, a Samsung TFT and actually saving my money for something useful. Now that I look at the photos they do look a bit like a bar of soap. I thought the iPOD had a metal exterior. What did you pay for that? Is there anywhere that sells them for cheaper than on the apple website? Don't you also need to buy a USB cable to get USB 2.0 to work which costs another £15?

I need to save up some money so I can void it's warentee and put a 40 or 60GB hdd in it.

if you buy them from the apple website, they engrave it for you. It was like that on the metal ones at least. Thats a very nice toy but I think I like the look of the old ones better. I love aluminium. How much does something like that cost?

iPods are ok, I much much much prefer those new iRiver ones though, they seriously kick ass.

I itroduced Lord_A to the iRiver.. it's a beast of a machine and just as big as the ipod.. i'm gonna get one soon i hope.

I also have IRiver SLIX 350 so I have no need for a mp3 upgrade for a fair while.
