so i have an e 1705 dell lappy, and an addition monitor hooked up but i can only display one at a time. im trying to get a dual head display. How do i do this?
gutsy? try going into their display manager (in the settings menu) and seeing if you can just enable it in the gui. if not, you're in for a lot of config file editing.
ok finally found the menu and it has the option to use it as a secondary monitor but its grayed out as the cars its a basic intel card forgot the model.
if the option to use it as a secondary monitor is grayed ou tou are going to have to find some new drivers
I would head over to the ubuntu forums (there a friendly bunch too) and ask them. There may be a bit of cli use to get it going since intel gfx cards are well supported the best driver is probably already installed.
ok dual head display now up and running but i screwed my res on my defult screen,....ran in 1440 900 out of the box now runs 1024. I cant seem to find the proper setting with out it stretching off screen
