Jump on bit-tech's bfbc2 server. Search for "CustomPC". I've recently taken over as the admin of that server :)

Agree 4xAA is enough. Apart from Crysis and may be Metro (which I don't have) gtx580 can handle every game out there with at least 4xAA.

Yeh to be honest, the 295 has served me very well in all my games. I guess I'll just see how it gets on with the new monitor. Also the benefit of the 580 is DX11.

I picked up the monitor today and have been playing Just Cause 2 at max settings with 4 x AA. The GTX 295 is actually holding up better than I thought it would, but when running the benchmarks, the framerate is about 10 FPS lower than before. There are also some parts of the game where stuttering occurs (mainly in intensive action scenes).

Selling my old monitor and my 295 should go someway to paying for a 580, then next month I expect I'll add another, just for good measure.

All in all though, the 295 isn't doing too badly.

Well I took the leap and ordered the 580 today. It should be here on monday, so fingers crossed.

Let us know what your final opinion is. I'm sure you won't have any complaints!

Oh, and if you do any folding, put that 295 to work!

I'll keep you all updated on how I get on with it.

I don't really do any folding, so I was planning to sell the 295 and maybe put the funds towards a second 580 next month. Although that would probably only serve the purpose of increasing my e-penis.....lol.
