I saw at the bottom of the forums page that the most users ever on line was 2012 on 25 5 04. Just a thought, but is anyone up for going for a new record (or would that melt the server!). A day would need to be picked and a time that meant as many people as poss. could be online, like the guys from the states etc.

Im not sure bit-tech has enough regulars to manage 2000 people to be honest. I imagine the best that could be managed would be in the 1k region and that'd be with a lot of people bothering, which I doubt most will.

Fair point, I just threw it in to see what others thought, but, yeh, the user base is maybe not what it once was.

I seem to remember that record was set after the release of gnomes mod.

Wouldn't surprise me.... Bit was SLOW that day. Of course, I'm almost positive they've had some server upgrades since. Just slashdot and digg something in the forums and we'll be all set, right?

I believe that's when his mod was /.'d , the servers were pretty sketchy that day.

Well regardless of all the skeptics, I will be happy to participate, I have no other things in my life so I will be free when ever just give me the time.

Well it would be a bit difficult as specofdust said, there aren't enough regulars to pull it off. I was thinking about this the other day too, wondering if we could break the record. But hey, bit is great, we may get to that again sometime.

Thanks for all the feedback, seems like there is mixed opinions about it. You would need everybody on board for this, but even so, as specofdust said there maybe just are not enough users now. Never mind, maybe in the future. Thanks guys.
