They are LUSH as GOO said! I got a box of them from CostCo \o/ I've never won that much. Won 50p in a kite building competition at nursery school, then came 2nd in a 'Name The Wuzzles' competition and got a Care Bear poster and weird flimsy record with the Care Bears singing me a song to congratulate me on coming in second Next thing I suppose was the £2.5k on the Lottery, but as part of the syndicate I was in charge of I had to split it up between 6 of us Lucky it came in when it did though as we had 24 members a while before that! I should probably enter more things...
I won a set of Intempo Digital iPod speakers I didn't check at the time, but now I think they can be had for ~£60 new. That was in the Independent (national newspaper). It's the only real thing of value I've ever won
won 10 games on xbox live (all the xsn games and few others) back in 2005 for being on live at a certain time
Not much - won an OCZ ram booster thingy from XtremeSystems, and some weird K-Bling necklace from a KillerNIC competition (it's basically the heatsink from the thing on a chain... useful... really...) Think that's it! Doh! RwD
I won a Barbie in a kid's magazine when I was about 10. That was my sister's birthday present sorted.
I was part of a 50 man lan at my school in Washington, and Danger-Den was sponsoring the event. They had a water cooling kit up for raffle, everyone there got a ticket. By the end of the night, they got to the raffle, pulled out a number and called it, nobody said anything. Pull out another number, nobody said anything. Pulled out the third number, and bingo it was my number. So I won a $300 danger-den water cooling kit with a pump, fillport hole, fillport reservoir, tubing, clamps, a Y bend, radiator, radiator fan, GPU & CPU universal blocks, and a large thing of their fancy MC5 liquid. Some of the parts are outdated now a days, but I'm planning on buying the newest blocks for a i7 920 and either a GTX 285 or whatever new cards come along in the next few months here.
I won my HD4870 from a podcast last year. I nearly shat my pants when they announced me as the winner and immediately began molesting their inbox with frantic attempts to give them my shipping information. A month or two before that I also had won Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, two Independent Games collections and a Killer-NIC Thug Chain from two other podcasts. Unfortunately, since then my contest winning luck seems to have dried up. Hopefully it shall return for Bit-Tech's 5870 contest.
2-night stay at a hotel in edmonton when i was like 12. a pair of skis worth probably $450 a pair of ski poles worth about $100 lots of jackets and training tops and stuff. pretty nice pair of sunglasses ski races always have awesome door prizes. there was another one last year where my name was drawn for a pair of fancy race skis worth about $800, but because i had already gone home they drew another name
A small POS point-and-click Nikon Coolpix L16 through an Energizer "sms this number to..." competition last year. A book when i was about 10
The best thing I ever won was a Sega Game Gear It was awesome, despite the horrid battery life. I even had the adapter that let you play Master System games in it. It was a sad day when the d-pad broke
£97 once on the lottery 955BE and M4A785 M at the asus extreme event and a mars bar for a headbanging competition at primary school
I won $50 in an essay competition once, and i've won the internets a couple of times for making ridiculous motivational posters.
