My freind is lazy and didn't want to make an account so Im gonna ask this for him What motherboard and proc do you think he should get for around 491,61 USD/249,71 GBP/380,99 EUR
someone will move it soon probebly as for now id go for a core 2 duo and a high end mobo I like the asus ones
Yea, mods please move this thread. But I will have to agree. At this current time the Core 2 processor and motherboard are going to be your best bet. Just make sure your getting good ram to complement the setup.
I don't think you can get a Core 2 Duo and a high end mobo for around 491,61 USD/249,71 GBP/380,99 EUR
We don't know what RAM you have currently or graphics. If you don't have DDR2 and a PCIE graphics card you'll need to budget for those aswell.
Its pci-e (7800gt) and i will ask what ram hes got, anything more I shuold tell him to write? is this any good? Intel Core Duo E6400 2.13GHz Socket 775 1066MHz bus (215,42 EUR/277,97 USD/141,20 GBP) and ASROCK S754 ULI M1697 SLI SATA2 RAID (42,81 GBP/84,28 USD/65,31 EUR) Or ASUS P5ND2-SLI (124,97 EUR/161,25 USD/81,91 GBP) both are sli
im pretty sure you could swing the e6400 and the asus p5n-e sli for that. if not get the e6300... hth0923...off topic...any chance you could post a link to your 3dmark06 score?
I talked to him and he says that he maybe want to go for one of this: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ 2.4GHz Socket AM2 1MB, BOXED OR this one INTEL CORE 2 DUO E6600 2.4GHZ 4MB 1066MHZ S-775 So the question is: Is the AMD or the intel the best choice? Anyway the AMD setup costs less (not much) and it has to be PCI-E ram doesn't matter as he will buy new ones wich isnt included in this budget. This mobo for the intel: ASUS P5ND2 NF570 SOCKET This mobo for the AMD:ASUS M2N4-SLI NF4 SLI SKT-AM2 ATX
not the best mobo choice on the intel setup...seems like something he/you is stuck on...no one recommended that, but he/you keeps bringing it up, so just go with what ur gonna go with.
Well say what mobo he should go with then it's supposed to be for gaming but no overclocking As I asked first He wanted to have the best he could get for that kind of money and hes open to suggestions
Don't forget a power supply. A good Seasonic will be no prob. I'd suggest the Asus P5N-E mobo instead
asus p5n-e sli...seems to be the best board, even if he isnt in to overclockin...for the money. you have people talking about getting this board over an asus striker...which is saying alot.
