Is this a good deal? Can I add a graphics card on top of the onboard graphics? I cant figure out the chipset! http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-170-OE
I'd immediately take the overclock off though and use offset overclocking. (Or do these ****ers do that nowadays?)
Yeah ocuks forums is always full of people moaning the stock overclocks fall over, that's part of the fun anyway! Asus boards are solid, though that is a rather hideous one.
It's not the best motherboard out there, but should be OK for a mild to moderate OCing. And the chipset is: intel z87.
What GPU would you reccomend? I was looking at the Asus AMD Radeon R9 270X 1120MHz 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 HDMI DirectCU II TOP OC
gah I'm starting to realise how hideous this all is and how rubbish I am at it, I'm going to layit all out on the table Things like RAM, PSU and cooling I can sort myself it's pretty easy. I just bought one of these:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lian-Li-P...ting_DesktopComponents_RL&hash=item3a87949845 that I am planning to mod myself, and I was looking for a respectable build for around £400 to stick in it, I'm currently running an old mATX which does well enough but I'm moving on! I actually like the colour if that's what you were referring to, I'm fairly big on aesthetics and everything I have is Black/red/silver/gold :/
It will be a gaming build that will double up as the home PC when I move in with the better half next summer. I was planning on getting underway after Xmas hopefully taking advantage of any January sales I must say spending this much money is terrifying
