    I told my mum i was just gonna get her a card and a kebab.....she was happy.

    yeah she's not bad, as we had builders in last week we've pretty much exausted how much you can eat out or get takeaways so i told me mum theres a new kebab shop opening on friday so i would treat her....and dad.

    it would be a bit much getting a present every 7 days though dont you think?

    It's actually called Mothering Sunday in the UK, and used to only involve daughters - not sure when sons got included in having to buy a card and get flowers/a present.

    FYI, Mother's Day in the US is on the 14th of May this year.

    PS... don't forget that the 26th is the start of British Summer Time! PUT YOUR CLOCKS FORWARD!

    I got my mum a card and a tray of plants...i didnt remove the nasty ones in shop and change them for decent ones from other trays :worried: honest

    Got her a card and this metal bowl thing with a red enamel/clear coat covering on the inside (friutbowl sized). Worrying if I'll be able to give it to her tho. Was meant to be heading up today but still doing coursework which i have to submit by 5 tomorrow (electronically) and mum has no net access, so i need to get it done before i head over.
    Plus the train lines are b*ggered to the Leicester side of Brum tomorrow so that's gonna be a fun trip. No sleep + lots of red bull = narky me. :miffed:
