Hi guys Got an idea. I want to open the sidedoor of my case with a switch, which starts a motor. I've got a circuit and it works, but what motor should I use. I live in Austria, so don't tell me some shops in the USA. Would be cool, if u can tell me some specifications the motor should have, to open the door in a medium speed. Thx Mario
Why it's your idea I only thought it might be cool to open a door automatically Look here on the first animation. But this is with infrared But I do some with a switch http://www.chimerazone.de.vu/ Can somebody help me to find a good motor?
lol you want it to open to sides this not my idea MY Idea to make it go up and down ok and its first to do I think ... so its mine you can check my idea here and this will be my project log soon but if u make it open with that speed ,, I dont have idea , sorry
It depends on the weight/size of your side panel, if it is aluminium it will be lighter... I would say a reasonable 12V motor would work fine though and could easily be powered off your power supply. I would suggest trying model shops specialising in model boats/aeroplanes as they often sell good quality motors. I know of one good quality model boat maker (from my short time spent in the hobby) that I think are Austrian. http://at.robbe-online.net/rims_at.storefront/ You might be able to find motors that come with a little reduction gear box, which would make the motor even more capable of opening you door.
Depends really, but a model motor will go pretty fast as it is to drive a propellor, but you could easily put it through a big reduction gearing system giving a lot more torque and lower speed. You can also quite easily get speed controllers and I am sure you could mod that in some way to fix the speed.
