    You might regret it come summer. I'd say If you still feel like that when the sun is shining and you've got some free time to ride then fair enough but I wouldn't rush into it at this time of year.

    Honestly there's no way to say this without sounding like a dick -- if your bike's competing for funds, you can't afford it and should axe it.

    Agree, however, but, whoa there, if it's all payed up and costing nothing then keep it.

    Back in my deepest darkest days of debt I vowed to never get rid of my Speed Triple, and stuck to it, it / we moved house 3 times before it got back out on the road.
    But that's me, it became my touchstone, my sanity, if I had sold it it would be me accepting defeat and being a total failure, long story short you've gotta do what's right for you.

    FYI - Shane "Shakey" Byrne has officially joined Jonny Smith's youtube channel "The Late Brake Show" as resident bike expert.

    Sod it, parts ordered and on back order;

    A brake lever
    [IMG]

    A shifter peg;
    [IMG]

    Grips
    [IMG]

    A brake pedal
    [IMG]

    An accent piece for said pedal, it ties in with the exhaust;
    [IMG]

    Cruise control

    [IMG]

    So, just waiting on the mini floorboards to come in stock in this country and it'll all come together for a weekend of spannering

    Meanwhile, mine's been in the garage for weeks until the weather's warmed up, and now it's only a week until the MOT expires... bugger!

    I dunno what it is about that image, but my eyes refuse to see anything except an Airfix kit on a flock base. Like, 1:16 scale or so. It's bizarre.

    Massive picdump incoming!

    Just completed a mammoth 12-day ride up into and back from the Himalayas. Covered a shade over 3000 km, rode through the plains in 40+C, up to snowbound 18k ft passes. Ride of a lifetime, but also the best part is we're already planning the next one, covering different ground :grin:

    What a trip! Amazing stuff, I assume the bikes held up OK? Looks like there's some great roads to enjoy.

    Yup! The riding was G.R.E.A.T. When the roads were perfect, they were a blast to carve thru, and where they weren't (mainly above the snowline) they gave you a huge sense of accomplishment at having conquered them.

    The Himalayan managed to shear its speedo cable midway, which shorted and killed the entire instrument cluster, but it was a five minute patch job and fuse swap. The worst was a rear puncture, again on the Himalayan, when we were in the plains about 3 hours from home. Shade temps were 45C and we had no shade! But really minor stuff considering what we were putting them thru. The Interceptor was just bulletproof throughout (but I did miss the Himalayan's softer/longer suspension on occasion!).

    EDIT: *speedo* not accel :duh:
