New front tyre time for me, it's knackered! Expected it to last longer, it's worn in the exact reverse of a (typical) rear tyre - the sides are shot, and the middle of the tyre is fine! Must be a massively soft side compound (or overly hard middle compound). 6.5k miles, was hoping for 8-10 :( Pirelli Diablo Corsa III...

I don't think the corsaIII's front tyre is dual compound.

Anyway it points towards your driving style :D Braking into corners?

I think you are right! I can't ever remember seeing the visible changes in compound like you can on the rear!

I can't see the difference between compounds on my tyres and I can only feel it when the tyres are warm.

Switch to the PR2s, they're ace. I imagine you'd get better life out of them than me because your bike is considerably lighter (140kg to my 230kg)

Just cycled with my dad to and from my nans house and his comment was 'remind me never to ride motorcycles with you', asking why he replies 'cause there would be some competition!'
i.e. on pushbikes we ride a bit too aggressively, hell can't lose a pushbike license and they're a little bit skinnier than a motorbike!

I was originally looking at 690s, but then sense prevailed over and the obvious choice was, for the same cash, a 950, which is 10x better in every way :D

Do bikes have specific LHD/RHD lights?

Bikes do have handed lights, they dip away from oncoming traffic so you prbably should tape them.

the new pirelli angels look class and are getting good reviews, my mate picked a set up two weeks ago and reckons they're excellent, especially in corners (he switched from corsa iii's) Corsa iii's have bin around a hell of a long time and the tech is old. I've bridgestone battlax BT021s on the bandit 12 and have the same problem as you with front, I travel an empty backroad with 7 or 8 lovely roundabouts to work every morning and I believe the excessive wear comes from riding spiritedly, rolling on the throttle while the bike is pitched over, the tyres really dig in when you do this. Anyways they've bin superceeded by BT023 now but don't think i'd trust them not to do the same and they're expensive. I've pirrelli supercorsa bsb's on the duke which are amazing but I wouldn't be pushin them on the wet and they don't last too long

the roads over there must be class, I wouldn't be complaining if I got 6.5k out of a set of tyres or a front tyre :-(. I get about 5k outa the bandit and max 3k outa the duke. All I do is buy bloody tyres....
