I just noticed that Firefox ran a bit sluggishly. Turns out that the three Motorola Blur ads make my CPU (Q6600) run at about 50% constantly.

It is a bit annoying. Especially if I'm sitting on a laptop.

Could someone please do something about that? :)

Don't want to turn adblock on for this...

    TIA

About 60% CPU on an E6600 here.

Had to take Bit off the Adblock whitelist to get this page to load with other tabs open. :sigh:

40% usage here but 4% when the said advert is not being displayed. Deffo an issue.

I'm sure one of the admins will sort that very soon.

35% of my 12Ghz. So the adverts on this current page are using 4.2Ghz of my CPU power. They're getting blocked. There's advertising, and there's raising my energy bills. This is the latter more than the former.

Destroying my CPU Cycles here too!

It's been great since the O2 advert snafu, and now its shite again.

I thought publishers had agreed to test these adverts before they are put on view?

i've been a solid supporter clicking adverts for Bit-tech, and bought many of my goodies from some of these adverts, but this takes the cheese :)

    please fix them bit's!

Same story with my Q6600, I thought it was the iGizmo ad at first though. This is the first time I've had to block bit on Adblock, but once this is fixed you'll be back on the whitelist.

6 minute page load for X3 Motorola ads here.:hehe: If you could just get the b*stard to ONE per page, all would be well.
    It's like advert slots...
    -1 ad: OK
    -2 ads: sluggish
    -3: Ctrl;alt;del time.

It kills my laptop too (2Ghz dual core with 2Gb RAM) and as it's a work one I can't install adblock.

As I'm typing this it's the only webpage I have open and my CPU usage is 50-60%!!!

That was killing me as I'm running a P4 while the ebuyer shennanigans get sorted out. Thanks for pointing out what was causing it.

Just one advert takes an E4500 up to 30-45%.

    How is this even possible?

The right people have been notified apparently and the issue should be fixed soon. In the meantime, everyone blame Hiren.

Yeah really not appreciated :miffed: especially since I have little to do with the advertising on bit-tech.

Gotta say, even not including this, bit-tech fairly commonly has ads up that make it unusuable on my Eee.
