Have you ever had a problem to where you are playing a game, move your mouse quickly, and the game responds by only moving very very slightly? I'm not sure what is wrong, but after I got a new desk and subsequently a new mouse-pad, whenever I play halo my mouse seems to move faster than the game can handle. I've got the sensetivity set to minimum in the game, but movement maxed out in windows. Is there anyway to correct this? Should I just not play to the level I'm comfortable with? Should I downgrade my mouse pad? Help!
just minimise it in windows so the cursor goes slower...well the sensitivity, Ice (thats what i did btw)
MX510. @icecoldbagey How exactly do a minimize a game while I am playing it and still have use of it?
What you need to do is deactivate Mouse Acceleration in the mouse options and also you need to install the accleration fix. ftp://ftp.thecpl.com/mouse_fix.zip
I actualy turn the acceleration right off in windows, so I don't think that's the issue... But oh well, maybe if I just go the other way and try turning up the sensitivity in the game... [EDIT]Cranking it up in the game has worked, perfect control. By the way, if you play halo online, join STX...[/EDIT]
i just picked up halo recently, and noticed lots of mouse lag ... makes the game feel sluggish compared to T2 or other fps games. i use a M$ trackball optical (the thumb ball kind) and usually crank the mouse sensitivity up to about 80% of the slider ... generally slow enough for sniping, yet quick enuff not to have to lift my thumb too often. i'm gonna have to give this mouse fix thing a whirl...
