This took longer than my first attempt because for some reason with Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi VLC kept overwriting screen captures halfway through the movie. After numerous attempts, I ended up having to babysit VLC while the movies ran and manually take lots of screen captures to fill in any blanks. That said, I'm happy with the end results.

These were made by taking every 125th frame, then cropping out the letterboxing (due to the 2.35:1 aspect ratio), applying a slight blur, re-sizing to 3 pixels wide, then stacking all the frames side by side. I then took the resulting image and increased the height to 1080 pixels.

    A New Hope:

Absolutely fantastic! I'm surprised you had the patience for that, but there's something very important you've not mentioned... Which version of the films did you use? :D

There is only one version of the films: the one where Han shot first and the one which doesn't have the ghost Hayden Christensen at the end. Any other versions are a blasphemy and an abomination :D

    :worried:

I used the 3-disc Blu-ray set that came out a while back, which unfortunately means that both of those things were the "alternate" versions. Thankfully due to the spacing of the frame captures, I missed the critical frame that shows the laser blasts. The only thing you see is Han looking serious then the smoking aftermath, so we can assume that Han shot first. As for that impostor parading around as Anakin - well, at least I blurred the frames.
