I'd rather they concentrated on fixing the memory leak in Firefox - I'm getting ready to ditch it. Again.

For the same workload (including keeping the darn thing open for weeks on end) I've found Firefox to consume significantly less memory than Chrome, both running on 64-bit Linux. Mileage on other platforms may vary.

That said, I use Chrome these days because I like the integration with my Android phone and find it to be a bit more responsive.

I'm not overly enamoured with Chrome either. I liked it initially, but I started getting odd glitches on some sites and forums, where some or most of the text would vanish; so I went back to Firefox a few months ago, but it's ready starting to piss me off again.

If someone can recommend a decent alternative, I'll give it go.

People are probably going to disagree but I've been using Pale Moon, sadly because it's a fork of FF it has problems with some addons.

    Still trundling along!

I'm another one who uses Chrome mainly because of my Android phone.
