Here are some Mozilla Speed Tweaks ( Will work on Fire Fox too :D )

    1. Type "about :config" in the adress field.
    2. Set the value of network.http.pipelining to "true".
    3. Set the value of network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to "100".
    4. Set the value of network.http.proxy.pipelining to "true"
    5. Set the value of nglayout.initialpaint.delay to "0"

I did Test all of these tweaks, and it does speed to increase the speed :naughty:

The Tweaks were taken from http://www.computerbb.org/about150.html

    Enjoy :D

Cool, didn't know that existed. Wish there was some sort of explanation of what exactly those settings alter though :)

I notice you can change the header types that mozilla accepts though which is useful!

Hmm I'm not sure either  but I think it goes something like this :eeek:

Pipelining max requests is the number of connections the browser will make to the server to get the webpage. If you specify it to use "100", then it will make hundred 100 connections to the server to download the webpage.
Setting pipelining to true will tell the browser to make more connections :baby:

This samething apply to proxy pipelining, which means it tells the browser to make multiple connections to the proxy server.

Nglayout.intialpaint I bieleve, prevents Mozilla from delaying a couple of seconds before finally showing up on the screen

    Enjoy ! :D

Take the space out, it's "about:config".

isn't it the other way around? mozilla is(was) the development name for the browser suite before it was finalized into netscape, at least that's how i always understood it.

edited to add: thanks for the browser tweaks, now firefox on linux is even faster, and i didn't think that was possible :) :thumb:

I had to add an entry for nglayout.initialpaint.delay cause it wasn't there by default. Did y'all already have that entry?

I think it was there by default in 0.8, but you have to add it in 0.9.
