It seems that at least once a week I'm posting something new about the RIAA. Now at least they have a partner in the mix - meet the MPAA! Wow. Just freakin wow. I found this at Slashdot and while reading the comments, one stuck in my mind as being not too far from the true reality of this story... In other news, the mob is exempt from murder charges due to 'market realities' The only thing that this can accomplish is even further solidification of the RIAA"s (and subsequently the MPAA's) power over independant labels by being able to circumvent diplomatic process. Interesting side note... According to opensecrets.org, Senetor Orrin Hatch has raised $152,360 for his 2004 election campaign from TV/Movies/Music industries. what garbage is this?...this is horrendous...this is a load of BS...i hope people finally wizen up...get involved folks...i may not be of age to vote...but you can bet that i'll be making my opinion heard when it is necessary...
I'm sorry, but if this kind of legislation passes I will be packing my bags and moving to Antarctica.
