Well at this point no one knows what the Microsoft Corporation Entertainment and Devices Division is banning for. The Microsoft Corporation Entertainment and Devices Division support line has been getting blown up all weekend. Non-modded console owners as well as modded console owners have been getting banned. Some people are saying it's because of early releases, unstealthed games etc etc. My only guess is that A the Microsoft Corporation Entertainment and Devices Division made a mistake for some and B they now have a way of detecting firmware on CDroms. A few weeks back there was a mystery patch that no one knew what it did.
the mystery patch was supposed to be an update to the live system to cater for the up coming party mode. but yeh wouldnt be suprised if it was something to do with checking firmware. anyway anyone that isnt using pirated games has nothing to worry about and anyone that is using them and still using Live deserves what they get for thier stupidity. im sure if you do nothing wrong they rectify it no it really scares the crap out of MS when people uses M$. If your so against them stop buying their stuff
Butbutbut omg n00bs, M$ r evil they maek lods of money lol they r takin over teh wurld say no to bill gates!!!!!!!1 And such. As for piracy, I wouldn't bother to pirate for consoles, that's what PCs are for. You've already saved yourself £700 by getting a 360 rather than a PC, why bother? Then again, console games are absurdly expensive compared to PC games, but you'd surely know and expect that before getting one.
Well I have a PC and an Xbox 360 so what do I do? Of course it seems people are paying £120 for an extra console plus whatever the modding/chip costs for £100 worth of games.
I think I'd feel more comfortable stealing a console and buying all the games - microsoft can afford the loss, some developers really can't.
I seems Microsoft is doing mass ban waves once a year. So technically it's cheaper to buy a new system every year than to buy games. System: $199 per year Games 1-20 titles you may want: $64-$1280 per year. I can see why some people pirate on the consoles.
yah I had a friend with a modded xbox obviously we never played the games online. I wonder if they could ban you based on using a non-pirated game on the modified xbox. At the time he had modified the firmware on the dvd drive to read burned disks, that's it. no modification to the system or OS. he had about 50 pirated games which would have been about 2500 in retail for the games (had he purchased them all) personaly I would never play on xbox online due to having to pay to play which seems ridiculous to me.
broken logic much? "using M$ scares a company founded upon capitalistic ideals". try breaking that down into its component arguments. then stab yourself in the face with a plank. and for the record, no, i am not against them, nor am i for them. they're just another company as far as i'm concerned.
