    Hi Guys,

Just bought a Gigabyte BRIX for a small remote node. The idea is to run esxi and then to begin with a VM for a opsview / nagios node. Wanted to know if anyone had any advise for a cheap and cheerful msata ssd. Roughly I think opsview recommends 80GB. I was thinking 120GB.

An recommendations., made consideration is cost.

I actually have a 128Gb mSATA Crucial M4 for sale in the MP!

I swear by Crucial SSDs :)

Crucial M550 if you require higher write speeds, M500/m4 if you don't mind the sub-200MB/s writes in exchange for lower price.

That M4 is simply ideal for what you need it for imo.

Although I suspect it's the 128GB version and not the 128MB revision. ;)

Samsung EVO and mushkin Atlas DX are also some great choices in msata ssd. At least in the US both have a very good price. Very competitive price against the Crucial but both have faster writes and better overall random performance. These are probably the 2 best msata ssd available currently. Only some m.2/pci-e stuff has better performance.

Had a little rethink, 128GB/ 120GB might be a little tight if I want to add any more vms. Might add local read only DC's and or printservers in the near future so thinking that this 256Gb might be worth it.

Jinq-sea if it was for me I would have bought it but as its work claiming back the cash on expenses would be a near impossibilty..
