I have a problem where I go into msconfig and uncheck the "Load Startup Items" box, and then go to the "Startup" tab and uncheck about five different programs I don't want to load up everytime I boot my computer. So I uncheck all of those programs I don't want and restart. That first restart it prompts me to do nothing boots up from what I unchecked, but when I shut down and then boot it again, they load at startup...and it's pissing me off. Please help.

Also how do I delete all the programs that are just there but unchecked. I have like 50 other boxes that actually don't startup which i've deleted already or they just don't startup.

    Also check:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Anything in the RunServices or RunOnce keys may cause you problems as well.
