Doubt the motherboard alone can do that :D

It's bigger than standard ATX, an ATX board would end just after PCI-E slot 6 ;)

Does anyone else read DrMOS as "Doctor Moss" in their minds?
    No?

    Just me, then?

I read that was the case when it was first introduced/announced/reviews an age ago but haven't looked into it since.
When MSI do a micro ATX version of this board I'd be very interested in Hydra and its performance.

Haha, I never even thought about what it meant, I think Dr. Moss :D I thought it was a kind of brand name or something, I guess it's not then?

*Edit* Yeah that board look bonkers, and I love the military grade stuff, I know I won't ever need it, but I like it being there.

Hydra works like **** but it would be nice for a AMD CF set up using a Nvidia card for Physx but then again too bad Nvidia locks out it's cards when a AMD card is used for graphics so Hydra is shitty and worthless.

8 PCI-e slots yeh..... this would allow for a nice CF or SLi set up and leaving you with 4 empty slots

PCi-E Cease Fire sounds great if it allows you to disable/enable your GPU when your not gaming at the click of a button on the fly with no reset/bios and all that crap. i would love to see MOBO manufactures implement this as an energy saving feature. DO IT DO IT NOW!! (or if already done someone please inform me)

Other than that nice MOBO, now sit

I'll put my hand up to doing the doctor Moss thing as well.

That board looks like serious over kill for whats being touted as the run of the mill CPU range.

Yes you're right. I completely missed the screw holes slightly above the bottom set!

    i 100% agree.

i can't believe the power consumption on this thing and what the hell is the point of 3 bios chips? 2 is completely understandable and i think that was a great idea but 3? really? thats just dumb.
i found it a bit strange to see 6 usb 3.0 ports on the back, but i see that as a good thing.

what i really don't understand is why did they stop at 8 pci-e ports? don't full-towers support 10 ports? i'm actually not sure, i never build computers with full towers. i do think the fact that msi and gigabyte are creating mobos that (should) fit in full towers is a great idea tho, i always disliked the idea of having the bottom of the case being empty.

    Yeah I do as well.

8 PCI-E? That's massive overkill. Like totally ridicules kinda overkill.

So folding@home has gotten to the point where MSI are actually designing boards with this in mind? I really can't see any other application for so many PCI-E slots.
