    shall be getting one soon for a play about, will let you know how it goes mate, but i suspect it will be the same as any other stock card, unless i win the chip lottery or something (here's hoping)

    Would appreciate it! Is that a build for a friend your constructing around a 570?

    it is indeed, hopefully he should have the parts by the end of the month, so shall let you know asap mate, although hopefully i can persuade him to buy the card now or sooner than the end of the month at least, which means i could give it a nice run in on mine :D

    I'd be tempted to jump SLI if it got closer to the £200 mark, also a little reapplication of TIM with AS5! :D

    you mean one 570 rather than sli 460's mate? Yeah always better with the one card usually :) meh i always thought that as long as the tim isn't a bodge job or something when the cards are assembled they don't really need a re-application of a different tim as there's very little difference between the better brands, arctic silver, icy diamond etc. also i did try it with another friends build i did with an evga 570, took the card apart and had practically no difference between stock tim and MX-2

    No, GTX 570 SLI! Single card would be rather pointless with a couple of GTX 460s to rival it! :D

    Since Nvidia use large heat spreaders on recent GPUs I tend to reapply TIM with AS5 for piece of mind. Over the years in my experience it lasts longer than typical thermal paste and maintains a fluid like consistency whilst staying put when applied. So it's dead easy to work with and at least I then now that particular aspect of the GPU is not holding any overclock back!
