If you have an MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum (for Athlon 64 socket 939 ) can you tell me which stable bios that your currently using, a working link would also be much appreciated. I currently have the w7025nms.141 bios but my system crashes when i play a certain game although my system temp is low and have also tried official ATI/Omega drivers and the crash still happens.

MSI K8N NEO2 PLATINUM (nForce3-Ultra 939) = http://msicomputer.co.uk/Products.aspx?product_id=703505&cat_id=77 BIOS (newest is 1.8, "w7025nms.180") = http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/bios/bos/spt_bos_detail.php?UID=607&kind=1 1.8 (2005-04) BIOS CPU temp reported correctly. 1.7 (2005-03) Supports low speed CPU fan. 1.5 (2005-02) Updates 'NVPXE', 'CBROM' & 'NVRAID'. 1.4 (2004-11) Fixed SATA detection when resuming from S3. 1.3 (2004-09) Updates CPU ID, supports Sempron_1800+ & fixes K8-939 RevD CPU 'Cool n Quiet'. 1.2 (2004-07) Supports 350HTT, corrected CPU o/c'ing POST message, supports Smeprons, improved 'Ghost rate' when using RAID0 in DOS mode. The BIOS can be thought of as a simple control program that runs before the OS (Windows) and gets the system basics working together. You usually press 'DEL' to enter the BIOS setup while your PC is counting up your RAM after being switched on (or restarted). There are updates released to address things such as compatibilities and capabilities which have arisen over time. You must ensure the BIOS is a perfect match for your system and that power is not disrupted whilst updating the BIOS (known as flashing).
Im running 1.2 and not having any trouble - just wish it was a better board. Its unlikely the BIOS would effect any game play.
