    Evening Bit-Tech

I bought an ASUS P8P67 pro when SB as released but now its time to get a B3 revision.

I have had nothing but problems with my ASUS bord so i'm going with MSI.

I paid 118 pounds ex vat for my ASUS board.
The G53 is 90 pounds ex vat and the G65 is 109, do you think its worth getting the GD 53 over the 65 and saving myself nearly 30 pounds over the asus board and 19 over the GD 65?

    Thanks lads.

off the top of my head GD65 will probably be more stable at higher overclocks, otherwise it looks like you get a couple extra SATA ports and voltage reading points, there could easily be more.

I see no point in getting GD65 over 53. The extra 2 SATA III ports come at pretty hefty price premium, voltage readout points are nothing but a gimmick at this price point. Save the cash and get yourself a few pints of Guinness instead.

Hey i recently built a rig based on the GD53 and it works a treat. There are enough sata ports and overclocking works great so i would recommend this over the GD65.

    Hope this helps

Same here if you want the extra little with the 63 it isn't prohibitively more but as far as things go at the moment the G53 looks like the premium trust for the 1155 socket for anyone who doesn't want to be spending over £250 on a mobo.

Hopefully you know about this.. :p
I don't really see much benifit in the GD65 and £30 is a chunk of cash that would be spent elsewhere. =]

Don't forget to sell your new B3 Asus P8P67 Pro in the marketplace when you get it back...

looks like its the 53 then. The only thing to take into account is that i won't be paying vat.

The story is, I'm getting a refund from scan and just spending the money on the MSI board.
