    Hi all,

I began my first overclock adventure last night with the Bit-tech overclocking guide for the MSI board similar to mine, linky.

However as my motherboard is the same board, but a 53 and not a 55, there were a few details in the above guide, which I wasn't able to replicate in my boards BIOS settings. I can't remember exactly what those were, but the voltages were some of them, as the numbers in the guide were different to what I could select myself (PSU the culprit?)

I was after a few tips/links on tips for my specific board if possible, or other members templates that I may try and stress.

    Thanks :)

Had a check and some of the differences included:

    - Not able to set DRAM Ratio to 6
    - Could not match the voltages to those stated in the guide

I tried to match them as close as possible, but then the rig failed to boot, therefore I will try again tonight with lower settings, but a dummy guide would be brill.

Few tips or linky to a guidey (as the Bit-Tech guide is for the MSI GD53) would be superb.

    cheers.

    Heho,

i have the same board and also followed the introduction in the link above. And i also get a boot failed. Do you have any suggestions for me? Did you find a good setting for overclocking the intelI5 2500k?

    Thanks you!

    Hi,
Got the same board, followed the guide and had constant BSOD msgs. In the end I changed the RAM speed to the correct figure left all the other voltages on auto and just changed the CPU ratio to 45 and everything works fine
