Why are you going for Z68 over P67? Just curious

I'd go for the MSI personally from those 3 (rather keen on the maximus IV gene, though).

    1) P8Z68 Deluxe doesn't have graphics outputs. Only the Pro and the P8Z68 without a name.
    2) GA-Z68XP - which model ? This is like saying i want a Asus Z68 board :).

I didnt know that about the delux mate, i thought z68 replaced p67 so that you can use the graphics part of the sandybridge cpu???? the GA-Z68XP-UD3-ISSD was the one i was looking at mate
    thanks

P8Z68 Deluxe is sort of like the Gigabyte Z68X boards - they have Z68 chipset, they have the SSD caching feature, but the rest of the Z68 features are not present or cripled.

GA-Z68XP-UD3-ISSD - any specific reason ? The embedded 20GB SSD for caching ? Well, the SSD caching feature is pretty stupid and limited, plus this board is overpriced as hell. £203.62 vs £148.42 for P8Z68-V PRO means £55 just for that 20GB SSD ? Get a 40GB Intel 320 Series for £10 more instead, or just get a good 80-120GB SSD and you won't need SSD caching at all.

Plus Asus has Intel gigabit ethernet controller vs the Realtek on gigabyte.

Well it doesn't have to be the GA-Z68XP-UD3-ISSD.....even the Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD4 would be fine.....i was thinking towards the msi or the asus then noticed the
Gigabyte z68's.....so realy not sure what each offer over the other
    thanks matey

Again, if Gigabyte then you need one of the XP boars - because the X boards don't have any graphics outputs.

Z68 boards from the Asus/MSI/Gigabyte come pretty much down to :
    1) Do you want the graphical outputs ? This removes Gigabyte Z68X (without P) boards, Asus P8Z68 Deluxe and ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z.
    2) What graphical outputs do you need ? Gigabyte Z68XP and Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z gives you only HDMI, MSI and Asus P8Z68-V & Pro gives you DVI, HDMI and most time VGA too.
    3) Chips used - Ethernet (Intel vs Realtek), eSATA,...
    4) BIOS for Gigabyte vs EFI for Asus and MSI.

I personally have no issues with my P8Z68-V Pro.

Well i was thinking one with vga output but as i think about it ill be getting a vga card within the next month, so vga output not realy essential but would have given me the option of putting windows onto my drive...but i can wait until i get my vga card....so p68 board could do the job...HDMI and DVI are prefered...but has to be ATX not Micro ATX
    thanks

I'd recommend the Asus P8Z68-V Pro. 8 sata ports, hdmi/dvi/vga out, usb3 bracket. Good reviews, too! The P8Z68V has 6 sata and omits the bracket I think.
