I'm at a point now where I know of ways to run Linux-based, DOS-based and Windows RE-based utilities, but they all seem to have to be on separate physical drives. You can at least have DOS emulated inside ISOLinux, and thereby get both of those on one drive, but if you want the XP/Vista/7/8 recovery enviroments you have to have portable versions of them on different discs or sticks.

Is there any way to give a USB stick or DVD a multi-boot menu? I'd love to be able to take a portable Linux environment, DOS environment and the various Windows REs around with me without having to carry a small handful of USB sticks everywhere, but I don't know if this is realistic. At the least, is there at least a way to get several of the Windows recovery environments onto one storage device? That seems like something you ought to be able to do.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Personally i have used EasyBCD to setup a DOS, WinRE and Linux environments on my pendrive for various things, they ask you to register to download it but you can use made up email addresses if you like.

I have also heard good things about YUMI, though i have not tried it my self.

I use YUMI at home and in work, never had an issue with it.

You excellent people! Thank you so much. I'll play around with both and see what happens.

    Bit-Tech delivers.
