Hello guys, ok multi monitor problem i`m having, My current screen is plugged into my radeon hd4850 via dvi lead to my lcd monitor, then i plug in a vga lcd screen into the vga port on my motherboard, nothing happens so i go into bios, turn surround view to enable then save and load up but wait it won`t load up my pc won`t boot it just seems to hang no keyboard or mouse or monitor response, untill i reset the bios, is there a way of picking up my vga monitor without using surround view.

    My motherboard is a sapphire pure crossfire x 790gx ( AM2RS790GX )

Ati Sapphire hd4850 dual dvi 512 mb.

    Any ideas would be great.

plug the second monitor into your radeon via a dvi-vga adapter.

Adding a graphics card disables the onboard vga port. Just for future reference

Unless your board is a Hybrid CrossfireX deal then you don't lose the onboard VGA power.
