Is it possible to run more than 1 lcd on the same computer ? Coukld I have 1 on serial and 1 on parallel connections ? Could I have 2 on a single serial or parallel connection ?
If you want them to display the same as each other and are usuing serial you can hook them upto the same port. If you want different screens you can use as many as you have ports for my running multiple instances of your LCD software (correctly configured of course).
that was fast. So to display different things I would need say 2 parallel ports ? Is there any s/w that support multiple LCDs or would I have to have 2 instances running or 2 different programs.
You could just get adapters from parallel to usb so the limitation is just as many usb ports you have, and you could always get hubs and add on, so I see no problem with having as many was possible
Been looking at adaptor cables but they seem expensive. And making your own seems too complicated for me. Will probaby stick to a single LCD as my 1st serious mod instead of being over ambitious Thanks anyways.
I am on a tight budget and am looking at a cheapo £5/£10 display from fleabay to experiment with before I get deep into this modding lark
