i have a geforce4 ti4200, made by MSI, and it has one of those composite/svideo input/output dongles that attatches to a proprietary connertor at the back of the card, along with a VGA and DVI connector. my question is that if i have a monitor on VGA, and a monitor on DVI, will i be able to hook up my 5" LCD to the composite in on the proprietary connector and still have all 3 function, or will i need a second video card with a svideo output and make an svideo/composite adapter cable?
Youll need a 2nd video card, nvidia dont output to more than 2 devises reguardless of what those devises are.
Yea.. some cards are made special for 3 displays.. I don't know why anyone needs more than one... I can understand 2... but absolutely not 3 :-/ Besides: You would shortly kill your graphics card if you were gaming on 3 monitors... refresh rates would be horrible... and your vid card would have a lot of trouble pumping out all of those graphics without generating a lot more heat.
I can guess you havn't tried multi monitors yet! If you had you wouldn't be saying that... MOAR DESKTOP SPACE!!!! 1. No you wouldn't kill you card. 2. refresh rates aren't horrible (who cares about refresh rates with tfts now anyway) 3. the card wouldn't struggle so long as it is a true multi monitor card. (eg. Matrox Parhelia) 4. Heat ain't a problem, most high end graphics cards kick out way more heat the most mutli mon cards btw!
Only 1 i know of as mentioned above. And its no more taxing than running high resolution gaming... just wider. Multimonitors rock, once you get used to it its VERY hard to go back
Oh your telling me! Its awful using a single display, I keep looking to the side expecting another screen...
thanks for answeriung the questions for me the 3rd monitor isnt going to be for much more than video and system stats..after all its only a 5" LCD anyone got the specs on how to wire up the 5" PSONE LCD?
