Hello all I’m trying to set up a triple monitor Web development machine (doesn’t need to be a power house) . Here’s the catch I want to use old hardware out of my box of bits. 1. Biostar IDEQ 200n that has onboard Geforce 4 MX (Dual Monitor Support) 2. Nvidia GeForce 6200 AGP (Dual Monitor Support) 3. Nvidia TNT2 64 PCI (Single monitors) I can’t get them to play nice together. All work individually with the correct drivers installed. When I install the AGP card onboard is disabled as expected so I think I’ll have to use one or the other with the PCI card. But I can’t find any drivers that will support the (Geforce4 and TNT2) or the (Geforce6 and TNT2) together and if I try to install drivers for both they overwrite each other and BSOD. Also tried looking for some sort of generic driver for any card but with no luck. Last resort is to just give up and buy a card that supports triple monitors but want to exhaust all options first. Help mnorth
I'll tell you in the interim, it can't be done unfortunately. Now we just have to wait for someone who isn't at work and has the time to tell you why! TSB
Thanks for the quick reply. Would be interesting to know why. If I could get hold of a cheap dual head ATI AGP card would that work with the Nvidia PCI? Being of different chipsets hopefully that would remove the driver conflicts?
Now working. Using the geforce 6 and TNT2 using forceware 70 drivers. Had to manually select the inf files and got a few warnings about the drivers not being compatible with the 6200 but all monitors are running. Probably missing some features, as long as they're all in the correct resolution I'm happy.
