Sorry if its in the wrong place but I don't know were to put it. Ok after having the screen on my old laptop smashed I went out and got a new one then perchased the USB X-Fi go from creative. I've just inherated 2 10 way preamps and it got me thinking. Can I use multiple X-Fi go's at the same time?
No. First, Creative drivers are a joke, probably will cause sever conflicts right there. Secondly, assuming possible and have supported drivers for this, all you do is output Stereo several times. Third, assuming that the above is what you want, all multimedia software can only output to 1 audio source. I'll be surprised if you can find a software that outputs to all sound cards inside your system. Finally, if you want to enjoy better drivers, better quality, and better sound output.. check out the ASUS Xonar USB.
Thanks, I didn't find any thing that suits my idea however MIXXX http://www.mixxx.org/can output two different signals to different sound card at the same time.
AJB2K3, it's not wholly clear from your post, but I'm assuming you want to use these preamps to record sound? If so, don't bother with the soundcards aimed at general PC use, especially with that number of sources! They just can't handle that sort of use. Have a look for a desicated audio interface, something like the MOTU Traveller or the focusrite sapphire pro range. However, for 20 recording level inputs you may be looking at a fair bit of cash. If I've completely missed the point then ignore me, I have music gear on the brain 24/7 hah
