I have now reached a point where i have too much music and keep repeating on albums as i forget i own them. Which is most annoying.

So what i need is a program which i can use to catalogue my LP's and CD's.
Ideally i don't want an online based database though.

Free would be great but i will pay if it is a good bit of software.

    Cheers :thumb:

    Excel?
I'm looking for a similar thing, but something will automatically make a list of albums/tracks I have, just in case I lose any of it.

Thanks i am trying it out at the moment. I must say it looks good so far.

The only long term problem now is that i have to insert a few hundred CD's and manually add a few thousands LP's :(

new -> music cd or vinyl -> artist/title search -> then search

Or for a CD just use the CDDB2 option if you want it to get the info from an inserted CD.

Take a look at Music Collector as well, whilst you're at it...seems to be the most popular software for such as a task, from reading the Zerogain forums :)

    Outsource it :)

If you want a cheap solution to make custom databases like access check out the latest version of openoffice they added an access style database program allowing you to make queries, forms, tables, etc.

I use it for cataloguing my software / movies.
