I find running boring as hell, but there's not much else I can easily do in the way exercise (plus I'm lazy to go far) so I'm stuck with it.

I'm just wondering what other runners listen to, to give them a kick to go further? Currently I'm alternating between Foo Fighters and Iced Earth.

Motley Crue and Alice Cooper. Alice for the duration and Crue to push to the end.

Nothing works better than Trance. Goa Psy Trance is the best kind there is to pump someone up.

Try some Astral Projection songs. Ambient Galaxy, Aqua Line Spirit, Burning up, Dancing Galaxy, Flying Into a star, Ionized, Kabalah, Let there be light, Liquid Sun, Mahadeva, No One Ever Dreams, People Can Fly, Soundform, Trance Dance, Zero

They're all awesome. Ambien Galaxy is my favorite but it's also the smoothest. It's very hypnotic though so it can also help.

    Or

Personally, I'd say make a playlist with those two and the one Viper's linked, then put it on repeat.

    Daft Punk - Alive 2007

Awesome Live album that's great for running. It's 80mins long too, so good for even long work outs.

Also, it includes an Around the world/ Harder better faster stringer mashup, that will melt your metaphorical face off.

    Red Alert

Hell March and Hell March 3, as well as Grinder 2 and the crazy metal metal remix of Hell March from the RA3 OST.

Anything with a groove that you can lay into is good, so I'd have a good look at some fast Testament, myself.

    But I'm a metalhead, yo.

I'm not one for much excercise, but when I have to run, I lay out the Megadath, the Pantera and the Decapitated. Y'know, musically interesting stuff that can time my mind off the fact I am having to move.

Nike+ power songs. That's all that needs to be said really. Foo Fighters is a good shout. There's nothing quite like "All my life" pounding in your ears when you're setting out and "Monkey Wrench" or "Wheels" when you're on the last half mile or so ;)

If and when I get my broken-ass PC fixed and back together later today, I'll post my iTunes "Nike+ Power Songs" playlist and let you see what I've been running to. Oh and yes, I am a Nike+ runner. I find it helps me to focus on it a bit more if every mile is being tracked.

Pendulum is pretty good for running. The songs I listen to are:

    Midnight Runner
    The Other Side
    Propane Nightmares
    Showdown
    Mutiny

... and you can find lots more like Slam to get you going further.

Sorry but the drum beat replaced by the sound of ball slap, and two people firmly stuck in the 80's imagery of mullets, and I am on the floor rolling a laughing

I love both the 80's and that song. I wish I was 10 years older so I could say that I grew up in the 80's instead of the 90's. Not that I don't feel nostalgic about the 90's, just prefer the 80's ;)

don't get me wrong the 80's look awesome from are perspective. Introduction to digital watches, cheap calculators, LED displays in the epic red and black and synth music. It all gives me a buzz to of been 20 in 1980 in America, because lets face has anything changed in your home town since 1953? lol!

The Uk must have sucked in the 80's, with cheryl baker in bucks fizz being about as good as it got.. shudder!
