    Hi All

I recently noticed that there was a similar post for Macs and thought we could do with one as well.

Post your favourite bits of freeware below and discuss.

    ummm Firefox?

    ah what the...here's mine:

    Firefox
    Irfanview (for viewing)
    XNview (for processing)
CDex (yes, I still use them round silvery thingy's)
    Winamp (cause i'm oldschool)
    AVG Antivirus
Windows Media Player Classic Home Cinema edition (prefer the simplicity and discreetness over WMP)
    Truecrypt (sneakeeeh....) :D
    Winzip/Winrar

That's about it really, could probably do without half of it with Win7 :D

Sure there's been a thread like this before, but still, get AeroSnap if you're on XP still. Give you the ability to fill half the screen with a program, much like Win7's snap feature.

    I can't live without it.

It's a bit weird at first, but your eyes will thank you. Absolutely a must for those late-night internet marathons.

The thread everyone is on about is here.

Post #71 has a list showing the number of times each program had been suggested and therefore its popularity.

I will update it with subsiquent additions at some point.

That thread really needs to be stickied.

    edit: Pointless Now!

Whats happening here is your just going to end up with everyone listing all their software and its gonna be a pain to find anything because its gonna be full of repeats. I think either someone needs to concatenate it into one post or just post software thats not already been done.

    On that note...
    Daemon Tools
    Comodo Firewall
    CCleaner
    Spybot Search and Destroy
    Foxit Reader Free
Teracopy < replaces windows file transfer. love it
