Sorry, I wasn't as clear as i thought. i was thinking you were reading too much into it and thought that the owner of the riddle could show the answer to lay the matter to rest. then i realised that you were in fact the owner. perhaps i meant the riddle wasn't very snappy but at least you got it from a friends unlike most of the rest of us googling away. not a big thing, hope we can let sleeping threads lie...

i think if it was the vicar then returning to the same church would have a reasonably good probability of finding him again  so maybe not ...

    Ryme: a coffin

I've got two, both lifted from RPGs, so you may have seen them (although I doubt you've seen the first):

    1. You come across a box with 4 buttons: 1, 2, 3 and 4. An inscription on top of the box says "In order to open this box, you must travel around the globe". What is the correct combonation?

    2. There are three words in the Common tongue that end in "-gry". "Angry" and "hungry" are two, what is the third?

    1. No. To slightly clarify, one of the numbers won't be used. Just keep reading and the answer should come to you.

    2. That's no fun, I was hoping to get at least ONE person to agonize over the answer.
