my computer shuts down itself an hour ago. when I turn it back on, I smell something, I turn my head to my 1080AMG, I SEE SMOKE coming out from the case's front door. I cut the power, open (and "oops" broke ) the door. the smoke came out from the side of the DVD-ROM. I came back after 5min, making sure it's cool down. take my DVD-ROM out, nothing happened to it, so I take off the front panel, I found the SPEAKER CABLE MELTED. and it made itself stick to the front fan holder together with the power and reset cables. I look very carefully inside and outside the case, and found black burnt line next to the HD fan (inside) and next to the floppy (outside). i just emailed antec, waiting for reply. do you think they will just send me another front panel? or do i have to RMA the whole thing?
yeah, more like disaster mods come on, tell us the truth. you hooked the cable up to the mains, didn't you?
you have to look on the bright side of this. When most peoples things break, they go "fizz pop" only without the "fizz pop", they just go "". You getting smoke, at least you thought, wow, smoke, wicked, for a second AI had a brilliant time, when my monitor burst into flames, at twas an excellent night but the dawn of the computer on TV time, aka, a bad time! I loved that monitor. So you see my point ? "Stay in school". I tihnk I made that clear enough!
