These are some pics of my 1995 Grand AM it is a work in progress but here it is: My new painted interior: My dual 7" headrest tvs that are hooked up to my ps2: My sound system: Here is my cardomain page: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2564717
Like the PS2 mods, very cool, but I'm not so keen on the blue dash and the silver grille on the front. Is it the V6 or the "high output quad four"? (Seems like a complete reversal to have the four-pot as the performance model and a V6 as the base, but there you go...)
I aggree nice mods and ice, just the dash seems a bit too bright, a darker colour ( to match the cars paint ) would have looked nicer, but each to their own!
Yes it is a 3100 V6 model and I am planning to get the car painted a lighter color after I put the body kit on it in may here is a pic with the rough color that i was thinking of and it also has the window tint that I am putting on it aswell:
in my opion youve spolt that interior why do barryboys/racers(or wat ever youc all them over the pond) just paint odd bits of the dash it makes no sense and blue and grey clash, rather than wasteing your money pointless painting the dash why didnt you buy some decent floor mats/new carpet. It now looks like summet that would belong on barryboys.com
Sadly I have to say that IMO the dash would look better in a different color. What about Matt Black, silver, or a pimpish white? (Those colors may be worse lol!) Leat you gave it a good try!
I think matt black would have been a better coulour. i persume you dont have kids so why put in dvd headrest. that money could have been better spent on the cleaning the inside of the car up. in my viwe if your gonna go do owt to car frist get it looking nice in stock form. nice carpet. decent looking paint work. then concentrate on the mods.
Seems to me to be quite a bit spent on adding appearance enhancing (or detracting, depending on your views) details onto what, underneath it all, it not all that impressive of a car. The 3100 ain't exactly the most powerful engine around. The car was never great looking to begin with, and now is showing its age. I never felt that the really curvy grey interiors of the 90s aged well. Frankly, I have no idea why you would ever want to sit in the back seat and play video games on a tiny screen. The back seat has a very distinct purpose in American cars. You put extra people there when you can't fit them in the front. You make out with girls in the back seat. Nine months later, you put car seats in the back seat. Personally, I put much more emphasis on the front seat than the back seat. That's where you are most of the time, especially since most people rarely travel with more than one other person, unless you've got a family. I feel that going for a really serious subwoofer system and the video game system is best when you've got a large car. A late 80s conversion van is the ideal car for something like that. There, you can put in a big TV and play and have fun. The back seat of any midsized sedan such as yours is too cramped to really do anything. The blue on the dash doesn't really do it for me from a style perspective. I think it is too bright. Also, the rest of the dash hasn't been painted, and you still have ugly grey OE carpet. I'd personally get some new carpet and upholstery first, THEN paint the dash to match it.
