Very nicely blended, compound images are always satisfying! I would recommend trying to get each of the 'subjects' to do something different in each shot though, like poses, otherwise the photo can end up looking a little bit symmetrical.
Aww.. great picture! I've been meaning to do exactly the same as you but haven't gotten around to yet.. try the 'hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil' theme, that's what i've been meaning to try but i reckon it'll be good for you to give it a try too.
Cheers Yeah know what you mean about each subject doing something different. Gonna have to get a lot more treats in for my daughter to persuade her to pose over the next few days Excellent idea. Will give that shot a go next mate. Thanks for the idea
Be sure to show us the results. What did you use to blend them btw? I've been using layer masks and gradient blending things for my composites but it seems a bit long winded.
-Not to be the Grammar Police, but I believe you meant to say bribing, not blackmailing, which would be to threaten to reveal incriminating information about her if she didn't comply with your wishes. Save that 'till she's 16 and brings a boyfriend home......
lol yeah - "sit here or i'll cram this icelolly up your arse" nice composition, but the lighting is unflattering. try to avoid backlit subjects if at al possible - for portraits sidelighting from a nice big window (such as the one you have right there... how conveeeeenient!!) is always nice.
Cheers for the comments guy's...All noted. An yeah I meant bribing and not blackmail It was very late when I posted and I was near brain dead
I like your shot. it's a fun technique to play with. I had my first go last week. Hope you don't mind the semi-hijack I really need a decent tripod though. just got a crappy tiny jessops jobby that's just generally quite ****
Likin' the fly-kick pic. And that stream doesn't look near deep enough to be doing that in to! As for tripods; Manfrotto Neotec teh sex!
Took so many bloody attempts to get the kick pic just right! and what you can't see in the backflip sequence is the large pool i landed in Will definately be looking at the manfrotto stuff when i've got some cash to spend.
Nice one olv. Love them. It really is a fun technique to play with. Many more from me to come. At least you have a tripod mate...I had to sit my cam on top of my computer case.
while everyone's posting their multiplicity shots, i might as well post my first bash. this is fun, i can see myself doing this kinda thing more often (gotta get myself a cord release...)
We need to get everyone together sometime and do a massive one with loads of people all with their own cameras.
Nice shot Fod. Seen _Rebekka's newest one: uh.. thats MY glass, silly..? Impressive stuff. Such simple ideas, but brilliantly executed.
Indeed. I'll have to give this a try when I get home! Only thing I'm worried about is shadows. I'll ikely use my flash. Or maybe bring in a bunch of lights and try to minimize them all.
why worry about shadows? as long as the lighting stays consistent, all the shadows will look natural.
Stupid question but how do you do it? you take 3 pics or w/e but how do you then merge them into each other? just cut them up in photoshop or what?
